By the power of the Holy Spirit we will proclaim the Gospel, demonstrate the love of God, and help people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith

The Apostle Paul commands us in Titus 2:1, "Teach what is in accord with sound doctrine." While there are many teachings and doctrines concerning the Christian faith, we have formulated the following ten "We Believe" statements to express what we consider to be the essential, core doctrines of our Christian faith. On these truths we stand united, and of one mind.

WE BELIEVE that God inspired the Bible and that it is God's complete and infallible recorded word to mankind. (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:19-21)

WE BELIEVE there is one God, unchanging, without beginning or ending, who from eternity is Father, Son, and Spirit. God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. God is holy, just and righteous while also being merciful and loving. God alone is good. (Matt 28:19; Psalms 139; Mark 10:18)

WE BELIEVE that God created the universe out of nothing in six days and that God created human beings in His own image. (Gen 1:1; Psalms 33:6-9)

WE BELIEVE that all people from Adam on are sinners, having willfully departed from God's purposes for our lives. Without Christ, they are separated from God, lost and hopeless, awaiting judgment. (Rom 5:12; Isaiah 53:6a; 2 Peter 3:7)

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is God incarnate (fully God and fully human). Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He willingly died on the cross in the sinner's place, atoning for the sins of all people. Jesus bodily arose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of God, and He will personally return to earth in power and glory. (John 1:1; Isaiah 53, 1 John 4:10; Matt 25:31; Acts 1:9-11)

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit is calling mankind to repentance; teaching them to confess and forsake their sins, and trust in the finished work of Christ at Calvary. Those who put their faith in Christ are born again spiritually and saved from judgment. (Mark 1:15; John 3:3; John 5:24; Acts 2:38)

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ baptizes all true believers with the Holy Spirit, putting them into His own body. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, seeking to empower them to live godly and fruitful lives. (Matt 3:11; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13)

WE BELIEVE that as God's children, being empowered by His Spirit and motivated by the love of Christ, we have been left on earth to proclaim the Gospel unto all the world and to build up the church. (Matt 28:19)

WE BELIEVE in a literal heaven and hell. We believe both the saved and the lost will be resurrected. We believe the saved will enter into eternity with God, and the lost will enter into eternity separated from God. (John 5:28, 29; Rev 20:11-15, 21:1, 2)

WE BELIEVE that God's will is for all believers to be baptized and that immersion most clearly portrays the meaning of baptism. (Acts 8:35-38; Rom 6:3, 4)

This Doctrinal Statement of Faith expresses the essential core-beliefs in which we, as a church fellowship, stand united. To participate in membership at NCF requires one to accept these fundamental tenants of faith. While there are many other "secondary" doctrines, some of which we may "agree to disagree," the above doctrines are fundamental in uniting the Christian community of faith, and serve to identify true Christianity from the cults of false religion.
