The 44th annual Bike Trip is a 3 day, 215 mile

biking and camping trip through central IL.

This year’s trip is different from previous trips because our route is a loop in central IL. While central IL may seem flat and full of corn fields, the route is anything but mundane. You can expect rolling roadways in some of central IL’s most scenic places as well as two pleasant lakeside campgrounds.

  • Day 1 entails riding the Rock Island Trail, then heading southward to the Fulton County Recreational Area south of Canton.
  • Day 2 sees us across the Illinois River Valley to Jim Edgar Panther Creek Campground near Chandlerville. We will also be stopping at the Dickson Mounds Museum.
  • Day 3 we will travel northward, crossing the Sangamon River. This sends us homeward, pulling into Northfield with new tan lines and muscles.

The trip begins early Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. and concludes with a meal Sunday evening at NCF. We have rental bikes available. If you have any questions talk to Josh or Brie Litwiller (309-840-0806 – Josh, 309-241-0405 – Brie).
